Forrest Gump, I watched it some years ago. Thought it was some cool shit. But I think otherwise now.

Last week I was bored and turned on the TV and BAM! There it was, his retarded face staring right at me, wearing his phony leg braces and mumbling some shit about "Stupid is as stupid does.".



God! What a retard.

The movie is stupid and God only knows the depth of moral corruption it has brought about with the kind of vile messages it sends.

Lets give this movie a thorough analysis. Jenny told Forrest to run, he did and he no longer needed his phony leg braces; Jenny told Forrest to run again, he did and he got himself a scholarship; Army dudes told him to join army, he joined and topped his class in boot camp; In Vietnam, he again listened to Jenny's advise to run and he got some medal for it; Black guy told his to play ping pong and he got to go on some "ping pong" diplomacy tour with the president; Buba suggested to catch shrimp for a living and Forrest got filthy rich.

So Forrest just did what people told him to do and he got to be damn successful. Yea, you don't need your own mind at all, just do what people tell you.

On the other hand, Jenny was a free spirit and independent person, she made her own decisions and definitely had her own mind. Look where it got her, she got molested/beaten/raped by her dad, kicked out of college, had to work in a strip club, got fired from the strip club, did drugs and became a hippie. In the end, she got AIDs and died.

Thats right, follow people around and you become rich, have you own mind and you get AIDs.
